The Stuart Hughes Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library of Stuart Hughes, the 44th president of the United States (2013–2016). The library is located in Riverside, California, and opened in January 2018.
The library opened in January 2018. All former living presidents attended, including Presidents Meyer and Stevenson. President Laura Montez also attended. Four living former first ladies attended. Edna Hughes, however, did not attend.
Even though Meyer claims in A Woman First: First Woman that Hughes was Governor of Michigan, the Hughes library is inexplicably located in Riverside, California. It is tradition that a president's library be located in their respective home state/city. This suggests that Hughes may have been born in California and/or grew up there.
