Congressman Moyes is a U.S. Representative from Michigan. He is a member of the Opposition party.
Season 4[]
In 2016, Jonah Ryan and Richard Splett were sent by the White House to lobby members of Congress to vote for President Meyer's Families First Bill. Meyer actually wanted the bill to fail, and deliberately sent Jonah and Richard because she knew they were incompetent. After a meeting with them, Congressman Moyes said he would vote no on the bill.
Later, Moyes was visited by Amy Brookheimer and Dan Egan, who were lobbying him to vote no. He became suspicious when they presented him with the exact same folder of information that Jonah and Richard delivered. Moyes figured out that President Meyer wanted her own bill to fail, and said that he would now be voting yes out of spite.
The Families First Bill ended up being narrowly defeated in the House of Representatives. Moyes then began a congressional investigation to determine whether the White House used lobbyists to defeat the bill.
