Background[]
Personal[]
DeVito served in the Iraq War, during which he injured his left leg, requiring him to walk with a crutch cane.
2020 presidential campaign[]
On May 18, 2019, DeVito participated in the first primary debate of the 2020 primary election.
He recieved only 8.9% of the vote in the New Hampshire primary. It is assumed that he dropped out of the race shortly after.
At the convention, Selina Meyer assured him that she will choose him as her running mate. However, she reneged on this agreement, needing to secure enough delegates to clinch the nomination. She chose Jonah Ryan instead. DeVito gave the introductory speech for Selina Meyer's nomination acceptance speech, with Meyer stealing from DeVito's planned remarks.
