Meyer lies in state at her Presidential Library
In 2045, Selina Meyer, the 45th president of the United States, died at her home in New York at the age of 76 or 77 (or possibly 75). Her seven-day state funeral followed.
After lying in state at the Capitol building, a state funeral service was conducted. After the service, Meyer's casket was transported back to Massachusetts for interment at the Meyer Presidential Library.
Funeral Events[]
After the commencement of a remembrance ceremony, Meyer's body was flown to Northampton, Massachusetts, the site of her presidential library. It was carried by a military honor guard representing all branches of the United States Armed Forces into the lobby of the library to lie in repose. An estimated 150,000 people visited the presidential library to see the casket.
The funeral service was held on the grounds of the Meyer Library. The service was attended by over 5,000 people, including family members, President Richard Splett and his wife Annette. Former Presidents Laura Montez, and Kemi Talbot attended, as did former Vice Presidents Andrew Doyle and Tom James. Meyer's former Vice President, Jonah Ryan was not in attendance.
