The 2020 United States presidential primary debates occurred among candidates in the campaign for the party's nomination for president of the United States in the 2020 presidential election.
Debates[]
Debate #1 - Des Moines, Iowa[]
The party's first presidential debate was held on May 18, 2019, at the Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. It was the first debate between the candidates in the campaign for the party nomination for the president of the United States in the 2020 presidential election. It was moderated by CNN's Greg Hart.
Due to the amount of candidates running, only those polling above five percent were allowed to debate.

- Kemi Talbot, U.S. Senator from New York
- Buddy Calhoun, Governor of Nevada

Results[]
Polls had Selina Meyer winning the debate after she confronted Kemi Talbot over her use of her race and gender as a talking point. Meyer also introduced during the debate her new campaign slogan: "Man Up!".
Undercard Debate[]
Candidates running with less than five percent in the polls were assigned to the Undercard debate. Those include former Congressman Jonah Ryan, Congressman Clarence Clark, and board game store owner Lord Wolfsbane.
