The 2020 New Hampshire primary took place on February 18, 2020. As per tradition, it was the first primary and second nominating contest overall to take place in the cycle. Selina Meyer defeated Kemi Talbot, having won this state in 2012 and lost it to Danny Chung in 2016.

Selina Meyer had the support of Jeff Kane during the campaign, which helped her achieve victory in the state--despite having his support in 2016 and coming in third.

During the 2020 National Convention, New Hampshire's 27 delegates briefly changed allegiance to Jonah Ryan before likely switching back to Meyer once Ryan agreed to join Meyer's ticket.
